Melodrama Package
The Henry Strater Theatre has been home to the Melodrama since 1961. The 2012 Melodrama season runs June 15 through Septemner 22. The are NO shows on Monday nights or July 4th. The theatre will be closed August 25-29, re-opening August 30th with Wednesday through Saturday performances only. Our Melodrama package includes Lodging and Adult Melodrama tickets. Durango & Silverton
Narrow Gauge Railroad
Available early May through late October you'll enjoy this scenic ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Guage Train. The ride follows the Animas River through the scenic Animas Valley and spectacular San Juan Mountains to the historic mining town of Silverton where you'll have a couple hours to shop and enjoy lunch. La Plata Canyon Jeep Train Tour
Explore majestic peaks, cascading waterfalls and Colorado's famous wildflowers! Discover fool's gold or have a snowball fight at 13,000 feet! Professional guides interpret the surrounding history and navigate the custom 4x4 open-air tour vehicle on the four-wheel drive roads thru the La Plata canyon just west of Durango.
